1. Who we are

Markoron LLC provide commercial energy procurement and consulting services to business customers.

This policy explains what we collect through www.markoron.com and in the course of providing our services, why we collect it, and what choices you have. Questions go to info@markoron.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details: name, business name, work email address, telephone number.
• Business details: EIN number(if you are in TX), state of operation, approximate monthly energy spend, number of sites.
• Utility documents you send us — invoices, contracts, usage histories. These typically contain your account number, service address, meter number, rate class and consumption data.
• Anything else you write in a message to us.

Collected automatically

• Standard server log data — IP address, browser type, referring page, pages viewed — retained for security and troubleshooting.
• This site does not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies and does not load third-party tracking scripts. As published, this site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party fonts, scripts or trackers.

3. Why we use it

• To prepare a rate comparison and respond to your enquiry.
• To request pricing on your behalf from licensed energy suppliers.
• To prepare, submit and administer supply contracts you choose to enter into.
• To audit invoices and pursue billing corrections where you have asked us to.
• To meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to third-party marketing lists.

4. Who we share it with

• Energy suppliers. To place a contract, we pass the usage and account details necessary for administration directly to the supplier. We will tell you who they are.
• Your utility. Where you have signed a letter of authority permitting us to request your usage history.
• Legal requirements. Where we are required to disclose by law, regulation, subpoena or court order, or to establish or defend legal claims.

5. How we are paid, and what that means for your data

Markoron is compensated by the energy supplier you select, through a margin included in the contracted rate. That relationship means suppliers receive the account information needed to price and administer your contract. It does not entitle any supplier to use your information for unrelated marketing, and we do not authorise them to do so.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted within 30 days. Client records, contracts and supporting documents are retained for the life of the contract to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements.

7. Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to submitted documents is limited to personnel who need it to do the work. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us payment card numbers, bank credentials or Social Security numbers — we never need them.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@markoron.com. You can opt out of non-essential email at any time by replying and saying so.

9. Children

Our services are directed to businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to active clients directly.
